The world is undergoing a demographic transformation. In less than 70 years, the world's population has tripled, from 2.6 to 7.7 billion. By 2050, there will be more than 10 billion of us on Earth. Faced with this exponential growth, one of tomorrow's greatest challenges is to ensure sufficient, sustainable, high-quality food for all.
To meet these major challenges, it is essential to adopt innovative solutions that enable us to produce more food while optimizing our natural resources and reducing our ecological footprint. With this in mind, CRIBIQ is launching its 137th special call for projects on Food Innovations for a Sustainable Future, supported by the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie du Québec (MEIE).
The priority research themes are varied and ambitious, covering fields at the cutting edge of innovation. They include :
This call for projects aims to meet the growing needs of the Quebec food industry, consolidating Quebec's leadership role in this essential field.
